Traditionally a photographer captures real moments in time. I take real moments and combine them to alter perceptions of reality and create unexpected relationships to create a sense of mystery and illusion. I attempt to create images that are not only expressive, but compelling. Blurring the boundaries of the real and surreal, creating altered realities. Through art I journey into the mind, and retrieve the images we construct there, where our thoughts and dreams arrange recent and distant memory-pictures of the natural and constructed worlds, uniting the conscious and unconscious realms of experience, "dream" and "reality" become a single, surreality. By implementing the camera and computer, I combine select scenes and elements; altering the composition, background, and the play of light according to a specific vision. The results are images that are unfamiliar as outward objects of our eyes, but which, I hope, Capturing an atmosphere of intrigue and to evoke deep emotional responses from those who view my images.
